  • Any Recommendations on where to get a clear bra put on?

    Hey All,

I am purchasing a new car next week and am interested in getting something to protect my paint put on it, I drive about 85+ miles a day and would like to minimize rock chips if possible. any recommendations on a good place to go that will also give a good price would be much appreciated, I am located about 40+ miles south of detroit.

    Thanks!
    -Jeremy

Another option besides the clear bra is to Plasti-Dip it. That stuff can stand some substantial abuse.

They also make clear plasti dip, and a Glossifier to make it shiny, as well.

There was a guy doing it named Bob Reed, he now works at Cauley Ferrari.

Cheap... I don't think you can have a clear wrap installed cheap.

saw an ad on TV selling a kit to put it on yourself. Can't think of the name but it is a big automotive company. supposedly peels off easily when you want to remove it too.
When in doubt, Whip it out !

not necessarily cheap, just want a good deal on it, only want part of the hood and the front bumper done.. and don't want to spend $1000 doing it either haha

My brother had a 3M one put on his malibu from the detailer that's at autoeurope/ducatti. He absolutely loves how it turned out and if i recall it was a pretty good price too.

Depends in the car but those kits are not cheap. Usually they're around $800 for a hood/fender/bumper kit. I wrapped an entire Lamborghini in that stuff a few months back and the guys bill was around $3k
