    Yeah the more layers you do the glossier it gets -- which is a good thing. For folks that don't want the real shiny look, they can just do one or two light coats and have a matte black look, but keep applying coats and you'll have a nice shine. If you got it applied onto 3 cars, you're definitely not using as much as I did I only got one can to work on 8 tires - about 4 coats per tire.
