            I don't trust them. By design, they are supposed to pick up dust with the waxy coating on the fibers. This may work OK for a while, but its risky. I've been able to use one without issue, but the difference between proper use and swirl city is extremely narrow. Also, anything that's supposed to work better "the dirtier it gets" is an instant red flag in my world.

            It's my opinion that you would be far better served using a waterless wash and quality microfiber to remove light dust. Waterless washes these days are incredible, and actually will encapsulate dirt to safely remove it with a gentle wipe of a clean microfiber.

            Of course, the potential to scratch is still there anytime you touch your paint, period. I just believe it's less likely than with a Cal Duster.

            No disrespect is intended to anybody that uses a duster and loves it. I have no doubt it can be used to great effect in the right hands. Just trying to provide another, more modern option.

            same here.. i used to use my duster all the time.. still do on my white car b/c u cant see the swirls.. but on my truck.. hell no.. creates a massive amount of swirls instantly
