Anyone ever used a Mother's PowerBall?

So my wife bought me a Mother's PowerBall for my birthday. I've never used one before, I have been strictly a hand waxer to date. Anyone ever used one? How well does it work? Do you get swirl marks or burn spots when you use it? Does it do a better job than hand waxing? Generally I use Meguiar's Gold paste wax, although I've been thinking about switching to NXT.

I have been skittish in the past about power waxers, worrying about swirls. I have an orbital buffer that I bought over a decade ago, but I quit using it shortly after I bought it because it was too hard to get into small spots, curves, the areas around molding, etc. But this seems more accommodating to that sort of stuff.

Aside from waxing the 'Bird, I was also thinking this might be good to use on my DD (in the interest of speed.) Any opinions pro or con?

powerball is used for metal polishing. I would not wax with it at all.

Probably wouldn't be bad with some chrome polish on the wheels. Dont have one, but my neighbor does, I think he uses his for the wheels on his nova.

Yep, mother's powermetal polish and a powerball work alright. I personally liked using the mothers mag & aluminum polish the best and doing it by hand with that. I think the result is better.

I've neved used the powerball but have the FLITZ ball. Same thing but a different company. I don't use it on my paint but it works wonders on my rims. I went all winter without cleaning my rims and used that for about 3 minutes a rim and they looked almost new!

I use the power ball to clean my rims inside and out. Works pretty well in my opinion, just like a buffer works more efficiently on your car paint than doing it by hand. I don't use the mother's wax though, I prefer Eagle One nano metal polish. I finish up the wheels with American Racing wheel wax.

Yeah I bought the large and small one off Ebay. I find myself using the small one a lot. I'm actually on my 2nd one.
It works wonders on my AR TTII's They look like brand new....all the time!
I agree though RIMS, aluminum, and chrome only.

I have the big one and it worked well on my ZR1's and when I polished my muffler and tail pipes. I need a small one to do my new wheels with. I use the Mother's metal polish and chrome polish. I LOVE the chrome polish it makes them SUPER shiny.

I have to agree with Wade. Does wonders for the exhaust tips as well as the wheels!!
