christmas came early for me

i've noticed if i get down to business with a tank of gas i can drive it all the way down to 8mpg with my car. but if im just normal driving to school and work and back home, i usually get 16-19 mpg! and highway cruising at about 80-90 i get about 25 mpg or so! ... so don't say LS1's get cruddy gas mileage, they are capable of good gas mileage! it's just hard to get good mileage out of a tank when it's the middle of summer and everylight is a drag race!... the first tank of gas i went through in my car i got 7 mpg! ha but that was as stated about A$$hole driving!

I can be bad with the pedal,I have been really lucky I have never gotten a ticket. But I am done with my car. Plus mom cant wate until she gets the car. And I want to move up to a v8. You are right my gas money is going to go fast. But I cant wate to get in the drivers seat of a WS6. and I know what kind of car I want and color and the mods that are going in to it. But I have to get the money first.

Yeah i could get really close to 30 with my friends '96 Z28 when i had it. but that's completly stock...well cold air intake but that's it, and a short throw... 25 mpg highway still isn't bad at all with all the $hit done to my car. im sure with the 3.73's now it'll either be worse, or i'll have to drive slower to stay in the same rpm range to get the same mileage.

actually going from 3.42s to 3.73s has shown to help highway mileage... my car has the 3.73 by the way. at highway speeds in sixth youll be at better cruising rpm with them. the 3.42s kinda bog the car a little bit to the point its less efficient.

That's weird, i'de think it would be different because your motor has to be at a higher RPM to be at the same speed as with the 3.42? and if you say always cruise at 90mph...with the 3.42's i'd be at like 2200 rpm...now with the 3.73's i'de have to be going like 2500 rpm to go 90mph now? but i guess that's incorrect? wither way it's not a HUGE deal to me!

headers, exhaust, I would like to lower the car a lil bit. As for right now thats what i would like to do. I am really hoping to get the car maybe by summer but will see.

im hoping to get a 8 also but ill tell you what im gona do. ya see im gona sell the car i have now to buy the 8, so, right before i sell it im gona get the bigest wing i can find and stick all kinds of nos stickers on it and some like chinese and dragon stickers. then sell it to a rich ricer for twice what its worth.
