I have uncoated Pacesetters and I have nothing but good to say about them. Stainless is pretty much only for looks I.E not rusing out fast. They say Crematic coated keeps under hood temps down but I could only see that making less than a 1hp difference anyways. Get what your funds allow. Kooks are good stainless, Pacesetter and good budget.

One must understand the differnce between stainless and mild steel.
Stainless header act like ceramic header becuase stainless is less heat conductive then mild steel. It also resists thermally induced cracking and is 1000x more corrosion resistant. Stainless is also harder to bend, weld and fabricate with then steel and the material costs more.
Steel is just that. A easily corroded high thermal transfer material. Ceramic coating only delays the cracking and rotting found with most steel headers. Also ceramic coatings are a bit over hyped because most of them will barely last 1-2 winters on a daily driver type of vehicle.
Honestly If you can afford it but a good quality stainless header like a Kooks, QTP, Stainlesswork.
Your only protecting your investment and the under hood temps with stainless will be close to that of ceramic coated steel.Last edited by Orange Terror; May 9th, 2007, 12:04 PM.

yep, my kooks were far from the cheapest thing in the world, but neither was the borla exhaust system that they hook up to. that entire setup was somewhat difficult and required some modification, but id say it was worth it.Originally posted by Keego Ridah View PostPacesetters are the easiest to slide in, but it depends on your budget like said above
