    your car doesn't have that and I dunno where you see that on the summit headers unless you are looking at the v8 headers as those cars had the air pump.

      ah ok, i actually just found out what it is too,
      for thoes who were wondering.. its an emission thing
      It injects air into the systems so the cats get hot and operate properly.

      please excuse my spelling... i went to a cathlic school.

          Yeah, I just got rid of my EGR valve because it wasn't functioning properly, and IMO the egr valve is negative towards the performance of any car. Granted I understand the reasoning behind it, but throwing hot air back through the intake is just silly in my eyes. So my car's exhaust smells rich and I might go through fuel more, atleast my car gets colder air now.

          Edit: Also, I find it kinda funny. Apparently the EGR isn't in use at all times? The only time my SES light comes on is usually when the engine is starting to warm up and I'm doing WOT ( which happens a lot, gotta do WOT to stay up with traffic )
