I have a 3.4, this summer I plan on doing a lot of "performance" mods to the car...yes its a v6, but its my car thats what counts...if its such a waste to put money in all our cars we all would be driving honda civics.

ok question, on summit's site it says that the pacesetter headers will not fit vehicles with A.I.R. pump? is that air conditioning?

no that is NOT the air conditioning. Some cars actually have an air pimp. My Trans am did b4 I installed my headers.
Id have to look at mine......I don't think I have an air pump. Maybe those are for the cars like for California and states with smog laws.

Also, I agree, Its HIS car. He can do what he likes. Thats the same way with me. I wanted to MOD my 305....and a lot of ppl had negitive comments about that. Needless to say, I did what I wanted to. And I like it.

ok....the AIR pump might not be belt driven. Look on the passanger side. Right in the middle of the manifold. There seems to be something that hooks to the exhaust manifold....then goes to the intake. That might be what there talking about.
but....not 100% sure.

i dont think thats the air pump, i bleave thats the egr valve, it puts exhaust into the intake.. im glad you brought that up tho todd i didn't even think about that.. ok question for that v6 guy im waiting to here something from that will have to be deleted right? if so dont you have to get a tune or something after you take that off. meissen will know this one..

your egr can stay with headers just fine. No need to delete it. Meissen deleted his cuz it wasn't working right and he didn't want to pay for a new one. If you remove it your SES light will stay on

You can't tune the 3.4 unless you go with a standalone tuning program

ok gotcha, but still the question is what the hell is a A.I.R. pump ?
