Yep, that sounds almost like mine. I think the manual transmission makes a little bit of difference.Originally posted by sean_99_3.8 View Postwhat do you guys think? stock manifolds cat and s-pipe

Your's sounds a lot like mine. I have the stock exhaust back to the muffler, and a Flowmaster 80 series. I was thinking of gutting the cat or getting a straight pipe welded in, but I didn't know how it would effect the raspiness of the exhaust tone.Originally posted by greenmachine View Postsounds ok, to muffled tho, take the cat off. it will sound a little better.

I have the American Thunder catback and i love the inside rumble you get, but it can always be louder on the outside. I don't know if I'd try taking off the cat or not, but I wonder how much the resonator pipe that the system came with would make a difference if taken off. Always worth a shot

there is a resanator right after the cat i will be removing that soon.
ive been told that makes a big difference.
as for the cat if you gut it or remove it causes to much rasp.
the stock cat on my car is going bad so im going to replace it with a high flow cat and a 2.5 or 3.0in s pipe.

For the record, my car can also squawk the tires. . . and it's a 3.4 with 11.5" wide tires out back . . . Hell, if I shift it hard enough, it'll squawk the tires in 2nd gear too. . . Ask Ben, he's experienced it. . .Nick H.

Why do people always underestimate the V6? I love my car, I'm not doing anything under the hood until the stock motor is beyond repair, then I might even go with some sort of forced induction or something after the rebuild.Nick H.
