I just had a flowmaster 80 seies put on about a week ago, and it actually quieted my car down a little. i dont know why but for some reason my cousin lee's (89Firebird) firebird, with the same setup as mine is a lot louder. I think the only difference is that i have no cat. well anyways i stil think it sounds really good, it has a nice rumble to it, just not as loud as i thought it would be.

You know, to each their own. My flowmaster isn't raspy at all, but I have a V8. May be raspy on a V6. I love the sound, deep and throaty, not obnoxious. My Flowmaster is aluminized pipe all the way to the tips. Which are actually about 18 inches of stainless welded to the aluminized pipe. If you are gonna drive it in the winter, I'd go stainless. For me, my car is never seeing snow or salt so I gots no worries.

if u choose to go flowmasters ive got my old muffler in my basement with the tips still on it its up for sale

How much would you let it go for..and if there any problems with it or anything?

A catback install is very easy and straightforward. You should be able to do it with ease in your driveway with a jack and some jackstands. I used a cutting wheel to remove my old one though becuase it was easier, save yourself the money and give it a try. I guarantee you its one of the easiest things to install on a car and will make you more confident when it comes to working on it.
