      i never had a problem over-oiling either, i've always let them sit out over night to dry before i ran them in the car again so they were dry for the most part.

        I've had...god I don't even know how many. One in my mom's Pacifica, one in my dad's E-150 (which I did re-oil - big cone filter), one in each of my mom's Fusions (3 of them), one in my Cobalt (before the M62) and one in the Cavalier, and plus the two I had in the IROC...never had any issues with any.
