NO where did I say bribe them...I clearly said, its good to have cop friends that will just sign those "fit it" tickets and then as your friend you buy them a nice tall cold one the next time your out with your buddies.

now if your neighbor has a BIG POS car with busted or loud exhaust, smoked out your front yard every time he drove past your house, I bet you would say "man I wish he would get a ticket for excessive noise so he would get it fixed"

Its crazy when we have rules and laws, yea break them all you want but dont ***** about it when your asked to fix it.

Great example, myself was pulled over by a State boy at 7am on my way to work for what you ask? Well it was a burned out turn signal, which afterwards he wrote me up for the burned out signal and my front window tint. Yes he said it looks cool, but its not legal here. SO after 10 yrs of driving with the window tint I took it off ( took 15 mins ) had the ticket signed and sent it in. I can tint my own windows for 20 bucks or I could have paid the ticket and not removed my tint 65 bucks. Yes I know I was breaking the law but some people need to man up, know they are in the wrong and move on. Fix it or pay up sucker.

After 3 weeks of not having tint on my truck, I will retint them soon, do I know there is a possibility of me getting stopped again...yes...and when I do, if I do, Ill fit it again, but that could be another 10 yrs from now.

Long story is we were all younger, when I had my first camaro and was 16-20 yrs of age I paid a couple cops salaries over the yrs, had my license suspended 3 different times cause I had a heavy, need for speed kind of foot.

I guess some people see it like that, personally, I don't see how a somewhat loud exhaust can hurt anyone. It is not unsafe for me the driver, not that it matters since people on bikes no longer need helmets. Window tint can be a safety issue for police officers, so I can see how that makes sense. They never know what is on the other side. If I was out past 11pm revving the piss out of it waking people up, give me a disturbing the peace or something, that seems reasonable. If I was out driving like an ass or street racing sure get me for the exhaust too. No one should be able to tell me what I can or cannot do to something I paid for, so long as it does not endanger anyone. If people say they don't like hearing it, tough, I am sure they do something I don't "like" too.

I was visiting my grandma in Sarnia Ontario when I got pulled over in my 96 z28. The police officer pulled me over said i was speeding in a construction zone. I was less than a 1/4 mile from the toll booth, and I just came off the ramp from sarnia to the bridge. I saw no construction signs on the ramp and it was in the evening when there was no other cars out. He told me i was going 70km(45mph) an hour in a posted 50km(30mph) area. I asked him to show me the radar/lazer gun and he said he "eye-balled" it. He also threatened to give me another ticket for my exhaust being to loud(I have dual magnaflow cats with a cutout before the muffler). My cutout was open and I just signed the ticket and paid my toll for the bridge. The ticket was $95 Canadian which I had no idea that tickets were that much in Canada. I had no choice to pay the ticket because I can't take a day off work last minute.

trust me I dont wear seats at all, however if I still had my bike I would rock a helmet, as well as my jacket, gloves and riding boots. Noise is noise, just like you can get a noise ticket for having your music too loud too, in my younger days I had a ticket for excessive bass. I paid over 140 bucks back in 2000. Or how about the ticket I had gotten for a bumper suspension violation, too low of a truck. my truck had air ride. Rear bumper less then 3inches from the ground. I fought it and judge had the court officer walk out to the parking lot to measure the truck in which I had to "fix" I just parked with the bags fully inflated. So I know all too well about dump pointless tickets...Im just saying its either you fix it or pay to play.

when cops have time to worry about writing tickets like this it means that either a.) they need to cut the police force because there are too many cops, they must be bored, all crime in the city must be solved. or b.) instead of them losing their job, ship them to detroit where they can be used.

Although most cops would have the fear of god put in them if they had to work being a real cop in detroit. A cop that writes tint tickets and exhaust tickets all day is not a real cop IMO.

So if a cop pulls someone over for one of those small infractions and finds out the person has an outstanding warrant, is the cop still not a real cop? The cops do not make the laws but they have every right to enforce them no matter how much anyone dislikes the law. I am not a cop, but have had my fair share of run in with cops (good and bad).

How are they not a 'real' cop? They are upholding the law. If they ticket you, is because you did something wrong (majority of the time). Just because they write you a fix it ticket doesn't make them any less of their position.

You want your car to look/sound good, sometimes you have to pay the price, usually you get pulled over by that one officer who is super strict fresh from the academy. Or in my case the past 3 times were.

Tint tickets are easy to get around. Just get a prescription's from an eye doctor. Then they can do crap... as far as exhaust being to loud.. for sure should have taken it to court with a db reading.. then requested the officer have he hearing checked. Most times the judge will throw it out. And the cop may not show up.

Prescriptions are so hard to get now. Unless you personally know a DR willing to do that for you, its very difficult. They give out these giant nasty glasses that will shade all sides from sun and fit over all standard glasses.

Also, the Cop not showing up is a thing of the past. They schedule all the officers to have 3 hours of court that way no one gets off.

Requesting the officer gets his hearing checked will almost guarantee to make your wallet lighter...

x2... its 100x harder to get a doctor to write you a note now.. and even then the officer doesnt have to even look at the note.. its its not on your license specifically as a restriction it doesnt matter

I got mine pretty easy... don't known a doctor went to Walmart vision explained the issue gave me a photosensitivity test. $150 bucks later I have my script. Gotten me out of many dealings with the popo... ur right is not on your licence so if your driving a non tinted car. Don't during it up only a dumb ass would do that.... and its fine by me that no one else can drive me vehicles legally. I had a cop pull me over give me a ticket said he estimated my speed at 66mph. In a 45.. which i wasn't going to argue. I requested on court the officers vision be recheck because his estimation was off. Ticket was dismissed.
