  • My latest purchase

Now, I post a lot of things I find on Craigslist, but not all of them. http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/pts/3477169642.html I saved these for myself. Picked them up tonight for $440. Now, how can you beat that? Who cares if the kids don't get anything for Christmas? LOL

these are way better than a stock 243 head. found out after I got them back that they have titanium retainers and decent springs too.

Just got the heads back from Modern Cylinder Head in Clinton Twp. they took them apart and cleaned them and checked them. He said that they have new ferrea valves (2.02 and 1.575)and comp Cams titanium retainers and 918 springs. they flow 290cfm on the intake without using a radiused intake and 227 exhaust without a pipe . Hopefully these will be on by spring along with my new converter. Not bad for $440 plus $100 for the check out.

they were hand ported 853 heads that I bought off of a guy on Craigslist. He advertised them as coming from Katech, but they didn't. don't know who did them,(they were done professionally, there's a number stamped on the ends) but they did a nice job. the castings are new too. the chambers have been polished and are 64.5cc's so they were cut around .030 too. I'm hoping that with my baby cam (224r) these will give me another 40rwhp or so. these heads were probably done 10-12 years ago and have been sitting ever since.

no, heads were hand ported probably 10 years ago, just wanted them cleaned and flowed to see if they were worth putting on or if they didn't flow to part them out.
