  • 3" or 4" single exhaust

Going with some long tubes, I want to stay single exhaust dumped. With my setup would a 4" single be too much? Mods in sig.

    1 3/4 longtubes, 3" Y-pipe into a 3-4" Flowmaster merge, 4" Bullet dumped.

This is my exact set up. Shits bad. Your ears will be ringing though.

Ok thanks I will go with 4" then, I'm going with Kooks longtubes and Y, then 4" pipe to Magnaflow round muffler, turn down right before the rear. Should sound pretty nasty and flow pretty good. There is a Diesel performance shop a couple miles from my place, seems like they would be able to run a 4" system for me.

Not worried about the volume of the system, my car only gets out every weekend or 2.

Hmm, I have 1 3/4 primary's, 2 1/2 cross over and 4" from the first "muffler" to the 4" muffler towards the rear dumped before the axle, it's very quiet...

This is what I would do for a single dumped setup

between here and LS1tech, ive been getting about 50-50 split between people saying im fine with 3" to saying im fine with 4". Not sure what to do, thinking about just doing a 3" but either doing a cutout at the merge or dual cutouts on the Y.
