thanks! yeah i thought it had the screen in it once when i thought i checked...apparently it doesn't!!!

ANYONE HAVE A STOCK 98+ LS1 MAF Sensor WITH THE SCREEN STILL IN IT THAT THEY WOULD POSSIBLY WANT TO TRADE ME???? PLUS SOME $$ IF YOU WANT???!!!!

i like the way it sounds...chops like an axe murderer!! hahaha.....runs kinda sloppy, needs a tune badly, i cleaned the shit out of my garage today cause it was still a mess, and i got the Trans Am and my car in the garage, and when i pulled my car in the garage, it could hardly hold an idle for some reason? i dunno....but yeah soon it'll be on the dyno getting tuned!!!

Yeah its absolutely pointless to remove the maf screen. You dont gain any HP like they "say". It only causes more air to circulate in the maf rather then going directly through. The only time removing the screen will gain you any HP (and its been proven) is if your running a 75mm maf.

Ah yeah your right, i ment to say the 85 maf proves more hp without it but, its highly recommended to keep it in for better read outs i heard. ( i think its only like a 3RWHP gain) Which could be PCM readjusting anyway.

haha...ehh i don't think so...Mike..."cOncePt" found me a used MAF on ls1tech for sale, i sent the dude a PM...but i'm gonna be dropping my car off at CARS in the morning to get tuned tomarrow, so i figure i'll just swipe the one out of my parents TA so my car can get tuned properly, and swap 'em out when i get the other one

haha yeah i just swapped out the MAF out of the TA and vice versa with my car....then i took my car for a "spirited" drive

then threw some gas in it for tomarrow's BIG day should be fun!
