Another +1 for hooker. I currently have LTs, ORY, and a hooker catback and love it. Very easy to keep quiet, but very audible at WOT. It's my favorite catback other than GMMG.

Just found a vid the previous owner of my car/this exhaust made of the car and you can tell how tame it is, but sounds very good and moderately loud when you get on it. It obviously flows pretty well, with the old drivetrain in it it was making something like 570rwhp through cats and this catback.

Sorry for the late response, finally made it home. Those videos sounds very good, I love the sounds! The system looks like its in excellent shape but, I am a little worried about getting them to fit since you said the y-pipe will need adjusting, and i am getting them done at a shop not a muffler shop. Is this something that a muffler shop could do pretty easily and not too expensive? I would also swap out the tips for turndown tips under the car. PM me your number I might just come & get them, can't pass up this deal.

No worries, I've been sitting on this thing not really actively trying to sell it. Just thought I'd throw it out as an option since you seem to be on a budget.

I'm running a Magnaflow on mine and to tell the truth, I'm not a big fan of the hollow sound it has. Yeah, it's nice and probably will outlast the car, but I miss the mellow note of the Dynomax muffler (though I know, thinking about Flowmasters, you're looking into big flow). I have Flowmaster classics on the '79 and honestly, they flow awesome, far better than dual Dynos. Standing behind the car, it still feels like someone slapping at your legs.

thanks for the response, I do want the flowmaster catback. I ordered some headers & a y-pipe today from jegs. I am going to get the headers installed & then take the car to an exhaust shop and have them put the catback system in. Sorry Jim, I am going to have to pass on the Hooker system, I really want the flowmaster catback with the 40's. This is the parts I ordered today, they should be here tommorow.

Headers should hook right into the Y-pipe
