  • Loose Rocker Arm?

My car is making this funny noise when i get on the throttle and let off or down shift, someone told me its a loose rocker arm, i dont know what to do, has any body had this problem? Would it be expensive to fix im not familiar with taking the Valve cover off on an LS1

A loose rocker arm is an easy fix. First disconnect the coil packs and plug wires from them, but not from the plugs themselves. Then remove the coilpack racks and then remove the valvecovers themselves. Pull them off and voila the rocker arms. Check them all they should be torqued to 22ft/lbs.

This might be a dumb question without actually hearing it, but what does the noise sound like?

happend to me like the first week i had my car. I was worried it was internal motor, but when i pop'd the valve cover off i was pleased to find it was only a loose rocker!

Its really quick and easy. If you stop by I can do it(only if Sean doesn't have time. They also need blue loctitie or thread sealer on the thread or it will suck oil past the threads into the intake ports.

Do you have headers with the AIR still hooked up? I have seen the check balls flutter and tick.
