you need to take off the supporting sheetmetal in that area. My lid actually touches the outer skin of my hood, but it fits lol.-Joel

what hood? the problem is that LT1 hoods close closer to the crossmember than LS1 hoods. its possible, but i bet it will still require trimming - and almost for certain the LS1 radiator support will not fit unmodified. An unmodified support/lid was not even CLOSE to fitting, hood probably stuck open 4-5"-Joel
