  • LT1 -> LS1 lid mod

    as you may recall i installed an LS1 lid on my car over winter break. Well it was nice out today and i have a very long driveway so i tested it out. Here is my feedback... which is not scientific, but the track numbers will come later.

    All i have to say is damn. I told ryan it almost feels like i put headers on the car...again. throttle response is considerably snappier and i want to say i can feel more power throughout the entire range. I also dont have traction in 2nd gear at all anymore. last summer, with the SLP cai, my power would fall off around 5500 or so and not be pulling very hard after 6k. Not the case anymore... im going to get very acquainted with that 6200 RPM rev limiter this summer.

        sorry guys no video.

        on another note i just installed an airfoil i had laying around to complete the package. im not sure if its because i have half the interior out, but my car has NEVER pulled this hard before. I cant wait for summer to say the least.

            Kyle Adair likes this status. Lulz. But for real Joel, we need vid!!! There aren't any vids of your car since you've done the TDs.

                meh, its kind of pointless to put an airfoil behind a restrictive elbow and CAI. Thats why i never bothered installing it til now. And i got it for free.

                and kyle there are two videos on youtube of my TDs. one idling and one driving in the car. I know i need new ones but i need someone else with me to get any good action shots of it. With the lid... it sounds quite a bit meaner at 6k than it did before

                          i wouldnt say the CAI is for sure "restrictive" for sure but the elbow in front the TB has proven to be.
