lol i have pacesetters and I have gotten rid of 99% of those SLP parts I have a whole lot more done to my car and SLP overates all of their stuff. Please do not even consider buying their headers, they are horrid and the loudmouth only sounds good on a car thats keeping the stock manifolds and cats, with anything else its downright obnoxious.

ya i came to my conclusion...i am going to hold off for now and fix my idler pulley because its pretty loud. Im still not 100% thats what thats where noise is coming from, but i gotta check everything when i get to my friends shop.
as far as headers i think i will go with pace setters, havent decided which y pipe, and then with magnaflow catback.2000 T/A

Pacesetters and Magnaflow are a good choice. If you are looking for a bolt on ypipe the new Texas-speed ypipe looks to have the best merge of them all.
If your willing to have 1 fabbed go ahead and pick up a 3in-4out flowmaster merge as they will flow more than what you need and clean up the exhaust note a lot.

The tensioner is known for squealing, usually you can take it apart and repack it with grease and its way cheaper than buyng a new one there is a writeup of this on LS1tech. If you wanna know for sure if thats the problem just spray some PB blaster on it with the engine running, if it stops for a bit then that is the right one to fix/replace.Originally posted by doubleaction View Postya i came to my conclusion...i am going to hold off for now and fix my idler pulley because its pretty loud. "Crazy John"....LMFAO He does have a badass car though!Originally posted by Darrenscamaro View PostLoudmouth isnt that loud and sounds really good, I love the way Kolin's and crazy Johns car sound...
My advice is to go to a couple meet and greets....talk with some people who have similiar setups as you and see what they are running. Hell most guys on here will even take you for a ride if you wanna hear the exhaust going down the road. The loudmouth does give you attention..hands down. However you then have to decide if you want to put up with that noise 24/7 especially if your car is a daily driver. I had a cobra prior to my SS with BBK shorties, off road Xpipe, and dual flowmasters. Car sounded awesome and was louder than most beefed up cars in the area. HOWEVER when i was driving down the freeway....i could not hear anything except drone.....couldnt talk on the phone, cuz nobody could hear me, couldnt hardly hear the radio either. So its a tradeoff that you have to think about...when i get headers for my SS im going to do an electric cutout that way i can try to balance the best of both worlds.sigpic
