They are a good value for the money. I believe there is a write up currently floating around for this in the recent posts. Joelius is doing it I think. http://mifbody.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=3404

The basic concept is the same isn't it? Get to block by removing top parts and getting the car up in the air. Break off the y-pipe and cat and work you way up to the block. Its all bolts holding the stuff on. Should not be too far out of the ball park.

on your 3.4l they will sound good. A buddy of mine had them on his 3.4 when he had it. Install isn't as bad as a v8, but still time consuming. I have pacesetters on my 3.8l and like them.------------------------------------------

I have pacestters on my car and i havent had any problems with them at all. The only thing i would suggest and this is what i did, dont use the shitty paper gaskets that pacesetter will send you. I got an new set from gm for relatively cheap. I've never done a v6 but if its anything like a v8 the drivers side is kind of tough to get up in there. The passenger sides cake. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get my stockers out and the new one installed. I had the good fortune of doing it on a lift though.
