Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Nope, we didn't do motor mounts and now we have problems. Josh really doesnt have to bad of a problem since we dented his floor/ y-pipe. I have to have rubber heater hose jammed in their which is really starting to get on my nerves because it is not right.
youd think motor mounts would make that problem worse though because the engine would sit higher ???
Im gonna see what happens. worst comes to worse ill do em after i find out they arent going to work.
well the passenger side is out...kinda. i had to do some "adjusting" with a cro bar on that bracket to get it out of my way enough that i could get.... a deep well socket, 3 extensions, and a universal joint in there to get the bolt out lol. so anyway the manifold is off the head, but still in there cause the dipstick is preventing it from coming out the bottom. i gotta drop that for the header anyway so thatll be next.
you think getting the old ones out is hard.. wait till you try to cram the new ones in there...
LOL yeah... headers definately take up a lot more room then manifolds.
When I was putting mine on (a TPI car even, you know, one of those FBodies that actually has an engine bay?) I had to undo the motor mounts and rock the engine to its side to get them in.

On my car, the opposite was true. The manifolds slid right in, the header bolts were easier to get (!AIR for me) to, the spark plugs were also easier to get to, once i had both headers in, took me like 1/2 hour to reassemble everything.
Looks good man.. Is it safe to hold the car up with the A-arms like that in the front? Are you avoiding the normal jack point b/c of the SFCs you have?
