  • LPP Headers

I recently (couple months ago) bought a set of LPP stainless headers. First let me start off by saying they lok show quality when i pulled them out of the box. Shipping was fast and free! $500 total!

They came with gaskets also. The install was the easiest header install i have ever done. Fit just like a glove. No problem at all and no dimpling was needed. THey cleared everything great.

Ground clearence is also very good. My car isn't lowered, but it will be soon and im not worried at all. They tuck right up and out of the way.

Car breathes great now and sounds amazing.

I recommend LPP to anyone that is looking for a cheap and great looking Header. Compliments the engine bay and install couldnt have gone any better.

Just wait till your car is lowered. I scrape both mergers against the concrete when I get out of the driveway. Only way for me to not scrape is if I take the driveway at a GREATER THAN 45 degree angle. Anything less and they scrape.

yeah there are a lot of stories in the big city, B's install also was very smooth and no problems exept for steering knuck would hit it slightly. we moved the steering wheel and no problem now.

just seems so weird that there's such a variance. I think the variance is in the car not the headers.

Ya, those baby's were not going in that car for nothing

Was hitting 2" of the K-member and were running into the frame and that was just the passenger side

I do admit that it could have been the car though

I have installed 4 different LT's in the past year:
              Hooker
              LPP
              Jet Hot
              Pace Setter

Out of the 4 Pace Setters are my favorite out of the 4 followed by:
              Hooker
              Jet Hot
              LPP

They slid right in Larry, no issues.

On Mike's car the LPP's were just a night mare
I like the fitment of the others better.
The Pace Setter's I put on Red's car sit higher than Hooker & Jet Hot so that is nice.

All 4 stets of headers still needed the motor jacked up so there was no difference in that.

I do know LPP is redoing the fitment and from what I have seen in the LPP thread they are still not ready?????

I guess you could say I'm not a fan of LPP.
You shouldn't have to cut up your K-member to install them and I wasn't the only person that had to do it but I was the only person that that had clearance issues like I did.

I think he doesn't like the LPPs because they didn't fit, Nate.

I guess thats understandable, but on the contrary to Kyle's opinion Ive installed both my own pacesetters and derek's LPPs and id have to say i did considerably more butchering to my floor plan for my pacesetters than the little nick i had to put into derek's k-member. Not only did the LPPs fit better but they were all around better made, and noticeably stronger. Not to mention, will withstand the elements better. Pacesetters often have issues with warped flanges. Mine werent perfect but the bolts drew them straight and ive had no issues. I'd prefer LPP's any day of the week but i dont plan on ever changing mine out until i need to.

Ya, like Joel said, 75% of the peeps that put them in had no problems.
                          Even B's fit perfect

Either we got a funky set or Mike's car was tweaked a little.

I will say that the build quality was great on the LPP's!
If he can get the fitment issues fixed they will be a GREAT header.

Could be the car is just tweaked. I have heard of people with stock v8s having barely noticable twisting to the frame from going to the drag strip or driving the car too spiritedly. With my v6, I wouldn't have had the torque to tweak the car at all... which maybe is why mine fit?

eh brian, that "chasis flex" you are referring to usually isnt permanent.... takes a lot of power to flex it that far.
