  • LS1 Pacesetter users come on in!

Did you have any issues with the install? Do you have the factory rubber motor mounts? If so do the y pipe or headers bang on the floor boards?

idk if it helps but my buddy had a 93 z and the pacesetters hit the floor all the time. he sold that car and bought a 94 ss clone with pacesetters and not a single problem with them. idk maybe its how well they were installed? but from my friends experience they are 50/50

I put on the Pacesetter Headers long tubes with cats and the co2 senors, etc.
They went on with out a hitch, they are designed for our ls1 f-bodies.
I do not have any hitting the floor issues.
Wmcc Alan Jr. installed this same set up befor I did, and he installed them in his garage without any hoist.
The Ceramic coating is still nice and shinny after three seasons.

Pretty easy to install. No banging here, don't have a y pipe though

My Pacesetters slid right in. At first the ypipe(TSP ORY) practically rested on the floor board. But that was nothing a big pry bar couldn't fix. I have had them on for about 2 years now and I guess my motor mounts are starting to loosen up because it bangs like a mother over 5,000 RPM now.

But for the price I cant complain at all. If I were to do it over again I would have defiantly put poly motor mounts in while I had the exhaust off.

Install was easy as *** for me and I never had any banging at all, but then again my exhaust always seemed to hang low.

Next question, is there anyone local that sells poly mounts, by local I mean I can get TODAY or tomorrow? Second, I should have no problem putting the headers on the motor while it sits out of the car on the kmember with the trans bolted up right?

Order from Creight and they will be there tomorrow I'm willing to bet.

Yes you can lower the whole car onto the motor already fully assembled. You shouldn't have a problem.
