As some of you know I bought some pacesetter coated headers a couple of weeks ago and I'm almost done installing them. What I don't understand is why some of the write-ups I read say to unbolt part of the k-member and to take off the alternator. All I did was jack the car WAY up in the air and both sides went right in through the bottom. All I took off was the oil dipstick tube, y-pipe and exhaust manifolds, cold air intake (to get to the airpump), the sparkplugs, and the egr and air pump stuff. The hardest part was getting the passenger side exhaust manifold off. I just started this project last Thursday. And also while I had the manifolds off I changed the oil sending unit since mine was broken. Anyways, I'm making a lot of progress and now it's time to put everything back together. But I was very suprised that both sides slid in right through the bottom, after I have been reading all these write-ups about unbolting the k-member or the motor mount and jack the motor up.

Yea on this write-up it says to take off 3-bolts from the k-memberOriginally posted by badinfluence View Postunbolt part of the kmember?
I had to unbolt the motor mounts and tilt the engine to put headers on, I think thats what you mean, never heard of dropping the K for headers.

It's a good thing I didn't do that then. I'm guessing that would have been a real PITA1994 Trans Am

I'll get some pictures up once I'm all done, I have to wait for the egr and air block off plates to come in, because I didn't order them earlier. I have the y-pipe on now and I have to re-bolt the passenger header back on.1994 Trans Am

alright, I'm at a stand still right now, I got everything together, except those darn block off plates still haven't come in yet. So since you guys want some pics, I'm in the middle of uploading them so they will be up shortly.1994 Trans Am
