I thought the block mounting and layout on the FWD motors was way different than the RWD ones. I know the intakes are backwards.

the block is identical to the fbody block. sure mounting brackets are different but the engine itself in shortblock form is the same.
l67 heads also have the injectors in them whereas the l36 heads do not and the intakes do------------------------------------------
