Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I put Pacestter long tube headers on my car last week. I changed the plugs to. I thought I could leave the stock wires there because there is 50k on them. I cant get the car to run rite it keeps on feeling like its missing it sakes a little bit. I also changed the wires thinking that would solve it. there all hooked up good I double checked them. Im also hearing a ticking noise It seems to be the motor is louder no to but what else could this be I have been trying all kinds of things I dont kno what elsto do.
Well, the motor is going to definitely sound louder...my guess is a plug is loose...I would go over all the plugs carefully and make sure the wires are really securely connected

the ticking is more than likely a loose header bolt causing a leak which will sound like tick.
now the miss / shake my brother had a 93 lt1 and he had that probem after a cam swap and it was a plug wire on the opti. he had after market wires and the boots were so tight he had to grease the boots make them slip on and make sure you hear a good click when the wires are pushed on. just some thoughts. good luck.

if its Ticking its more like an exhaust leak. Pacesetter pretty known for that.
Im first hand experience on that
But anyways, is there any way you can post pics, or see where tick is coming from, prolly best results when engine is cold. But my guess is the EGR valve.

^what he said
header bolts loosen up pretty easily for the first few weeks, then they slow down and eventually stay tight. also the wires are real tricky especially with the opti, make sure they are all on tight listen for the click. make sure none are burnt cuz lt1 headers alwayssssss eat wires.
The stock plugs were doing the same thing as the new ones nothing changed thats why I think that the wires are ok But not 100% sure. The driver side plug wires are not close to the headers is the passenger side that is tight. Someone told me to take the wire off the plug while its running and see what happens the wire sparked and the motor shook but not much more then it has been.
What do you mean make sure a wire is not crossed, is that mean as far as the opti to the correct cylinder.
the tick kinda sounds like its coming from the valve covers I dont know its driving me crazy because I dont know what to do. I dont want to drive it so what do I do lol.
the header bolts Im using are the ones that came with the headers and are 10mm I have to use a little wrench to get to them I got them as tight as I can without stripping the heads of the bolts.
my pacesetters leaked when i first started the car, but i tightened em down and no problems since - over a year ago now. I do have locking bolts though which is nice.
Did anyone ever hear of a lt4 knock module. What is that all about.
yes i have that but i doubt thats your problem. basically your engine could be reading false knock from the louder exhaust. LT4 is a desensitized version.
