  • No power out of 4 pin connector for fuel pump

Im getting no power out of my 4 pin connector that connects into my fuel pump. All the fuses look good. Any other leads? 2001 camaro btw

is there a relay up front for the pump?
When in doubt, Whip it out !

It will only have power for about 5 seconds on each key cycle . Then power when it starts. Does it have a hot wire kit?

Well its definitely getting power the first 5 seconds. But my pump still isn't turning on. I have the racetronix dual pump and hot wire kit. Everything looks like its getting power and the relays are clicking when the keys turned on but nothing at the pumps. Pumps are grounded.

If there is power at the top it has to be the connector at the bulkhead or inside the tank. The original plastic module housings are known to fail . are you checking for power at the factory connector or the racetronics plug. Is the fuse in the racetronics harness good?

Got a pic on which one? Been battling this for a week. Theres power coming out if the relay. Im thinking it might be the connector now that you mention it

Im getting power to the plug on the top pic. And im getting power at one of the posts where the connector plugs in on the bottom pic.

I'm confused. That's a 99+ module right? Thought the flat connector was for tank pressure and the pump wires were a square connector?

The square one is spliced in at anothet spot on the harness. I just tested it again and was mistaked there is no power going to the actual pump wires. Im assuming its from the stock wiring not sending signal. The 4 pin stock connector only one wire out of the 4 is showing power when the key is flipped on.

This is the one that's only showing power at one of the 4 pins out of the stock wiring.

Also not sure if it matters. My alternator was relocated to the passenger side. So one wire was extended. And the other fat wire was just re routed to the back. Not sure if that's effecting it in any way.

Where does the wire go at the front with the fuse? Normally it gets put on the alternator lug or the fuse box on the drivers side. Is that the one that was extended? is that fuse good?

which wire in that connector has power? I dont have a diagram handy but purple is usually the fuel level feed and gray is normally the pump feed

Its wired directly to the alt. And grounded to the chassis. Im thinking its a problem actually in the stock wiring not sending signal to turn on the pump. The hot wire kit and everything looks good and has power. But there is no power in the stock connector that sends the signal. Checked the stock fuses and they all look good.

The wire that was extended for the alternator was the little red wire that actually plugs into the alt.
