You could use the 5v output to drive a digital/analog gauge. But then the price goes up.

I assume you are aware that you need to let the sensor warm up for 30 seconds before you start the car? That's the most annoying thing for me.
Didn't know about the warm up thing, probably never gonna tune? Is there a nice setup that will just display and is accurate? Just want to keep an eye on things. Was looking at autometer analog or digital gauge #5779 or #5770 Phantom series, it would match everything else I have

I have the innovate lc1... it's nice, just don't run leaded fuel dohhhh! lol.. I have mine wired into a lean shutdown switch which displays afr that i just have velcroed on the dash. Get your motor together yet? i have been waiting for over a stinking month for my mwc suspension crap to get here so i can roll it next door and get it painted.

negative on leaded fuel lol... Race gas i'm sure would be fine as long as it's non leaded... the guy that i bought my car from was eating threw widebands every 250 miles with leaded fuel and he just kept on replacing them lmao... I'm gonna have to check on e85, cause that's what i'm running now and i know that it reads on the same lamda scale.

both sensors bosch and ntk will work with leaded fuel. The NTK will last a lot longer than the bosch. If using leaded fuel you'll have to calibrate it more often.

If your never going to tune it, it'll get old fast. Waiting for it warm up, having to free air calibrate it, etc.

The only time i ever bothered letting mine warm up was when i was data logging

They don't as the sensor degrades so does the reading. Ask Dave how much difference there is between his AEM and NGK.

They are pretty close around stoich but who cares...so are the NB's. At around 11.5 afr the difference is 0.4-0.5

I have an AEM permanently mounted in my a-pillar and only use the AFX for tuning
Does your AEM gauge read from the NGK or do you have two seperate widebands??

He has 2 widebands Joel - he busts out the NGK when he's tuning

Um, "busts out?" Is the NGK that much easier to install?

I'm trying to figure out which one to buy, but I'd like the readout to be in my pillar pod. (and yet still connect it to my laptop)

I wired my NGK to make it portable...ring terminals for positive/negative connection at the battery, added a switch, and added a HPTuners connector (green plug). I unscrew the AEM bosch sensor, screw in the NTK, run the wires thru the passenger window and I'm tuning. Can be done in under 10 minutes including calibration. I like it this way so I can easily tune cars for other people and it keeps my NTK sensor fresh.

There's no comparison to how well the NGK works compared to the AEM. The AFR error seems to change 2-3% from one log to the next with the AEM and I was never able to get error's down to 0-1%. With the NGK I can get most cells to <1% error with 1-2 logging sessions.

Edit: Here's some data for comparison. Both were 3rd gear pulls, same tune, 11.2 afr target (initial tune...I will be leaning it out once I get more comfortable with boost).

Notice how much smoother the NGK data is. I would bet money that it would read the same if I did another similar pull. The AEM on the other hand...all bets are off on what it would read the next time
