ls7 are all we usually use. trunion upgrade is fine. roller tip rockers are needed when over 400lbs of open pressure , aftermarket guides, or tons of lift

Hey Mike, bummer to hear the car is down. I guess we wont be going to the track this fall. As for the cam, I'd do some searching on Futural. Their cams have put down some good numbers with low lots of mid range torque.

You should also ask yourself what kind of spring life you want. This will drive your lobe profile and lift choices.

judging my his latest FB update looks like the car is going up for sale, sorry to hear it Mike but we know life happens.

well dustin (alwaysmessedup) came out thursday night to take a look and listen. i let the car idle for over an hour w getting in and putting it in gear and putting a load on the engine, with absolutely zero noise. he did bring a mechanics stethescope and we listened to both sides of the engine. passenger side has a slight noise differing from the drivers side. i pulled the coil packs and valve cover from that side and found nothing out of the ordinary. even pulled the plug from drivers side and rolled the car over watching and listening to the passenger side with no eveidence of something wrong. put it back together and restarted it with still nothing. basically dustin and i came to the conclusion that it shouldnt be driven again until i pull the heads and swap out the lifters just in case? and yes i did post it for sale on fb but im so freaking stressed about a few things right now, that it was more out of frustration. thanks again for helping out dustin!
