  • anyone wanna recommend a good cam?

planned on swapping out my cam for something more streetable this winter anyways. since the lifter has failed guess its time to start doing some research. planned on doing a custom grind by patrick g on tech but was just wondering if theres something else i may be overlooking that could be just as good. i do already have an ls6 intake with stock throttle body, stage 2 livernois 243s, ceramic coated longtubes, lid and such. i want something that will make some power across the whole powerband and sound good whilke being streetable. the current cam is just too much and probably the culprit in my lifter failure.

Was it a lifter for sure?

I'll be paying attention to this one, I don't know enough about LSx cams to make an informed decision on a cam for my motor

What did Larry run in that motor? Hes had a few good combos I'm sure he will chime in.

I have a 224r which is small, but still has a nice lope (112 center). Was planning on running a 228r but got a great deal on the 224r. both make great power up top and have a strong bottom too. I'm still using beehives on mine too.

this is what Pat G spec'd for my build, it was actually intended for a car with a FAST setup but mine broke so I sold it and just run the LS6 intake but its not a half bad setup.

its still in my car it made 441rwhp at this years dyno day but has made 461 on the same dyno last year. Trapped 123.0 and my car weighs all of 3650 going down the track so take that as a more accurate account of power.

I have ETP 5.3s they are advertised as flowing 230s I believe but I've never had them flowed. Car is not light I just don't have a roll bar/cage or subs like yours.
