Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

if your planning on running your turbo you will have to grab a engine that match the A/R on the hot side of your turbo. its not critical but will give you the best option for horse power. a 6.0l could cause you turbo to spool to early in the RPM range. or a 5.3l may cause it to spool to late. i dont know what you have. im just sayin check and be sure. plenty of calculators out there to help you. here's alittle inspiration.

its all in the desighn. everyone thaught i was off my rocker when i posted my hp goals. they have some pretty large turbo on this engine but they have a some what close to ideal A/R number for the exaust housing. understand this motor is not by no means a durable engine. the ls cranks are rate anywhere from 750-1000hp depending on how good your tune is. rods are generally 600hp limit so this motor would blow in due time. problebly sooner than later.
richard.
thats one reason why a decent size cam for the cubes and larger turbos were used to limit cylinder pressure down low.
They were hitting the dyno around 4800. someone messed up and loaded it at 3300 or so and the cylinder pressure killed it.
Richard is working on a 5.3 now. wait til you see what it makes. Wiseco just released its junkyard dog series of pistons for 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 just for this type of build
