You want a 9in, you just dont know it. You dont want a 12 bolt, youll break that being a stick. S60 should be OK tho.

DTS can get you an S60 locally. not running a 9" is fine but remember they are so popular for a reason.

exactly.. parts are typically cheaper and they are much easier to work on.. and yes 12 bolts and 6 speed cars dont mix.. ask larry (1badair)

I'm not an S60 hater by any means I think its a great rear end and would own one myself, but I don't see any reason to not have a 9"

The S60 is a good rear axle, much better than a 12 bolt, but the 9 is better. There really is no excuse not to buy a 9" axle if you are going through the pain and suffering of buying a new axle assembly.

We should break it all down in a thread but I think I can see the S60 being cheaper. A base S60 is $2350 if you reuse your backing plates and its a bolt in piece, still needs a new DS but so does a 9". The base S60 will handle much more power though and it doesn't require a high dollar center section like a 9" and comes with 35 spline axles out the box. The weakest link is the tru-trac and if they can be optioned with a spool that would mean its even cheaper and will handle whatever you can throw at it for much less than a 9". I would say an S60 with a wave-trac or spool should handle just as much power as a 9" with a better center section.

I've heard people talk about the 9inch raising up the car in the rear I really don't want that I'm sure the 60 will be fine for this car I really can't go to the track much right now maybe will more time my lungs are pretty jacked up so if they ever heal up I'm sure to be there as much as I can I'm just sick of putting money into my ten bolt .
