to get under the car, i jacked it up from the back drivers side, so the front passengerside was way low and front driver side was high. i wonder if that has anything to do with it.. maybe i need to have the front jacked up evenly? know what i'm saying? or would that not have any effect on it?

right... cuz the k member with the solid mounts and motor on it are at quite of an angle, so maybe if they are straight with the body, everything will line up. i'll see in the morning!

with a lot of prying and screwing around i finally got it in the center bolt and the trans brace bolted in. drove the car and there is quite a bit of vibration. is that normal with solid motor mounts and a poly trans? if its normal then i'm ok with the vibration. thinking i want to get it on a lift and put it in gear and see if everything looks balanced.

its normal, typically you go stiff on one or the other mount for less vibration. I have heard after some miles the vibration will tone down but no personal experience.

ya, i dont care about the vibration. it's a race car! altho its full weight, fully street legal, no cage yet, and street tires lol. so as long as its in the center hole on the trans mount i'm good?

yes with solid motor mounts and a poly trans a extra vibration is very common

its obvious that its only when the driveshaft is turning. if i push in the clutch it goes away, when the clutch is engaged again and the driveshaft is spinning it vibrates.. putting it on the lift in the morning and making sure everything is straight. then cruising to grand rapids and maybe to kalamazoo to pick up my old car

Anytime you are moving your driveshaft is turning.
