    Hey guys,

My car is all apart once again because I was needing to replace a head gasket (which I thought was bad )

I am having all kinds of issues but I cant tell what the problem can be.

#1: motor is losing about 2 cups of coolant every few hundred miles.

#2: All of the plugs in the motor look different. Some look good, some look BLACK, and there are a few extremely white.

#3: Cylinder #4 has oil or sludge or something leaking from the exhaust port and there is oil in the intake port as well. The piston looked like it has some excessive carbon/oil shit on it, but the cylinder looks perfect (no gouges, can still see cross hatch)

The weird thing is this motor drove fine and made good power. Let me hear your thoughts... anything and everything. I can get pics if necessary

Is the motor all apart? How is the condition of the oil?

ill state the obvious, if its not on the ground your burning it, but you never seen any excess smoke coming from the exhaust? might b hard to notice with duals. and what do you mean by white plugs? like the plenium is white? and sounds like blow by in cyc 4.

Weird. I have head studs in mine and when it was first put together I was having issues with coolant coming up the stud and getting into the oil. That was due to using the wrong sealant on the stud.

Are you just judging by the dipstick or the oil draining? Mine showed no signs in either until I pulled the intake and saw a white goop mess.

I will get them for you. Yes there is oil in the intake. they are .026 ultra-seal head gaskets, I have used these before without issue. Valve looks fine. Heads are brand new and were just checked over intensely (pressure tested @ 60psi, magnaflux, guides honed, valve job, high dollar work, etc.)

judging by the oil pan drained and oil sitting in a clean bucket, smae goes for the coolant. motor is apart and out of the car, it is a shortblock

wait to clarify you got new ones? and i dont see why studs would do that, i see the point but if installed correctly and sealed that shouldnt be his issue here. not like ryan is a half ass mechanic not that we all dont make a mistake here and there.

yes. i spent over $1000 just having the heads checked over and making sure they were PERFECT. All of the bolts have the correct lubricant/sealer on them and are torqued to spec in 3 passes and in sequence.

Not to sound cocky, but this aint my first rodeo. I dont think it is builder error. Something is physically wrong somewhere

I would just jump this car into the pond next to my house, but seeing it doesnt move that would be impossible. Larry, will you come over and help me push it in?

No don't do that. I love that car, I've thought about leaving the keys in my car many times from it pissing me off, but now that my car runs top notch oh man i love it, also, I'm bored with it and rarely drive it now. its more fun fixing these....
