I'm giving up on this one. Screw it. A wild cam will be worth the mpg loss.

Thats about exactly what I get with the cammed stalled 5.3... usually a bit less than 200 if all city or close to it, and my best so far is 282, all highway, cutout closed. Usually average 220 a tank, it sucks. Last year before cam and stall I was getting 280 a tank on average and could squeeze 320 if it was all highway.1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....

Wow - never realized that my ~16mpg was in modded LS1 territory.

Well I decided to take a short trip and see just how much mpg I'm getting on the highway. I filled up before and after the trip at the same exact pump. I drove 72 miles total and averaged 23.9 mpg. Does that sound right?
Edit: Forgot to mention was going 70mph the whole time at 1500 rpm (love stock gears lol)Last edited by GoHard; October 5th, 2010, 01:56 PM.

Some people have super cars.
I managed somewhere in the low 20's mpg with my cammed LT1 for FBody's at the Barns.
