  • How hard to make custom length plug wires?

Found what I need to make new plug wires for my car.. Universal wires with LT1 Opti terminal ends.. Crimping tool is like 10 bucks.. Pretty easy to make these? Never made wires before..

Taylor's 8mm Spiro-Pro wire sets are an excellent replacement wire for both Racing and Street Applications. Taylor's Cut-to-fit wire sets do not have the ignition boots installed, allowing you to cut the wires to the correct length of your application for a perfect fit. This works great for custom applications, such as cars with headers. Taylor Spiro-Pro wires provide maximum firepower without radio interference with up to ten times the conductivity of standard resistor wire. These are a must for electronic ignition systems and use with computers. 8 mm wires fit both 7 mm and 8 mm applications. LT1 and LS1 applications require opti-spark end terminal kit, part number 04-46052.

Hardest part is getting boots over wire ends! Use lots of Silicone.

Silicone or WD40 to lube the sires to pull them through the boots. I use a pair of needle nose pliers to stretch the openings on the boots too. Every little bit helps. Custom wires always look way better than pre made ones if you take your time.

They are not hard if you take your time and do them right. I am with James on this, I did MSD's on the T/A and they came with their own crimp tool. I believe they also came with dielectric grease and that is what I used to help get the boots on.
