it is? my cam is supposed to make 400rwhp with 200cc heads and my cam isnt even that big.

I'm not sure what to expect when I have it redynoed... I understand leaner AFR will make for higher HP numbers but 14 AFR at 20psi fuel pressure seems like I was choking the engine so I wonder if my next runs will be higher, same, or less.

You should talk to Steve and see if he has any more openings for the dyno day he was going to do. It's June 27th and $50 for 3 pulls.
          Dyno Day?

We need to setup Dyno Day still...but that's another topic

You should make more power now.

I wasnt there when steve did it so im not sure. I know 400 is plausible but I might need to tweak it a lil more. And a dyno day for everyone on the site could be a good time

Yeah, during the week does not work at all for me, I guess I'll have to wait to get the car dynoed...

I'm not doctor LT1, but I sure have seen some unimpressive numbers coming from the ltx cars in general (this is not direct at anyone on this site)

using the right parts goes a long way. Unfortunately the LT1 community seems to consist of many blind sheep following each other off of the cliff, using cams and other parts that are as old of a design as the platform itself just because someone else was happy with it. All you have to do is read LT1tech for a few minutes and you'll probably find someone complaining about the opti as though the platform is still limited to that junk.

Honest I think I could hit 380rwhp with my engine if I had my LSx pcm done and a dyno day to prove it at

Yeah I was always under the impression a H/C LT1 would be right around 380-400, stroker 383 would be like 420-425.

Not right now my car has way to many bugs I need to take care of, hopefully by the end of summer tho. 380-400 for stock cubes and 420-475 is what I've seen on strokers but there are some good cars and some bad, we will see what she puts down soon. But hey it's just a lt1

hp numbers are not everything you got to get it to the ground and go straight if 6 speed don't miss a gear over shift or under shift autos mash the gas and hang on and hope that nothing breaks and goes straight getting to old to drive a 6 speed car got to take a virga to keep my leg straight and hard on the gass ------ not really but it will make somebodys day
