i kinda got to agree with him. youll prob gain a few tenths with a hotcam. If you want something bigger youre better just saving for it because the hotcam springs cant handle anything bigger... therefore you gotta go through the mess of swapping springs again which is the worst part of the whole swap. And if youre gonna do that you might as well buy the right springs from the start, which means you might as well buy the right cam from the start.-Joel

so you're comparing forged internals to a hotcam. Not a chance.Originally posted by nascarnate326 View PostSays the guy with fully forged internals? lol
I have forged internals because I need them. I didnt plan on making 400 rwhp or else I would've went a little milder.
FYI by the time you recondition the stock rods and buy ARP bolts it is more cost effective to just buy brand new forged rods.
We all know stock hyperuneticrap pistons are junk. No one in the right mind would disagree with me in using forged pistons.
And... My stock crank was beyond repair. I would have had to buy a used crank, have it reground (which I didnt want), etc. I got hooked up with a brand new forged crank that would beat the cost of recon the old, stock one.
oh and the hotcam will require new valve springs, which are NOT fun to do on the car
