Kolin's old GTP did the same thing, never did find out what the problem was before he sold it...

you havent replace the maf yet have you. if not try a simple test start it up and take the handle of a screw driver and tap on the maf if it stalls its bad. we replace usually one a week on 3800.

did you figure this out yet mike? get ahold of me. now that the holidays are done i seem to have alot more time. it has been hell with the move and stuff...i would really like to see him get this issue resolved! it's got me and one of the mechanics at work going "HUH???" at how random it is. about as random as all the crazy crap my GTP has been doing IE. airbags blowing off and any power anything just dieing. if you decide to change out the crank sensor i can help make a short job of it. done many of them unfortunately

no we havent figured it out yet. but since the last couple things we have done it seems to be happening less often. he did buy the crank sensor and i know he called you yesterday while he was here to ask about it. we were going to try and tackle it since the garage was already warm, but i guess you told him it wasnt really easy, and it doesnt look it, lol.

went and looked at mont, should be too bad, just a bit crowded down there. you should be able to get at the crank bolt (TTY only no ARP for these that I know of) thru the wheel wells, then its fairly straqight forward

well i replaced the maf sensor ($250) and the car is still stalling randomly. I still have the crank sensor but seem to think thats not going to fix it either. We will replace it anyways. We really need to figure this thing out.

why don't you take it to dealer or service shop would have been cheaper than throwing randow 250. parts at it and not fixing it.
