Could be a u-joint, the slip yoke, loose u-bolts on the axle. Bad tranny mount, loose lugs on the wheels. usually the tans mount would clunk if you peg the gas... good way to check it maybe lol..ASE Certified Automatic Transmission Mechanic

Remember folks stop lights timed for 35mph are also timed for 70mph.

It sounded fine when I would lay on it, only when it would take my foot off. It also wasnt very consistent it would go away for short periods of time. Its not the lugs.Originally posted by M_Juntti View PostCould be a u-joint, the slip yoke, loose u-bolts on the axle. yeah my bet is on the u-joints, i would go under and check for play in the driveshaft,, maybe even binding of the slip yolk. shouldnt be a real big hassle to fixASE Certified Automatic Transmission Mechanic

The camaro does something similar. You don't notice it at light throttle to about 1/2 throttle. Only 1/2 and up under hard acceleration and you have to let off completely. Its the trans mount on the Camaro. I never remember to get one when I drive up to autozone though.2005 Yamaha R6
