IMO...I'm not an engine builder, But if your strapped for cash just reuse it.
I'd have it polished, just to make sure there aren't any sharp angles to it.

Then reuse it. You going roller lifters? How is that little scratch going to affect anything?
It's not like it on a cylinder wall, and you asking should I get it honed or re-punched.

But I do agree new rebuild, go with a new cam.

But, I cant say that, once I build my bottom end to my 350, everything that I have up top of my 305 will be in my 350 (intake, cam, ect.) Less push-rods, heads. That's all aftermarket on my 305 already. It would be a waste of $$ if I didn't use it.

I'm gonna talk to Dave at enginecraft and see if he can't polish it and then I'm either gonna reuse it or sell it and go custom, depends on how much money I spend on the motor itself first.

they are all the same price at thunder. thunder also puts all of them on a cam doctor to make sure they are correct. if you use patrick g thunder also gives you a discount

I'm not to happy with Thunder they obviously missed putting the last cam I ordered off of them on the cam doctor.

Good thing there are other sponsor I can custom order from.

Check out the daylight you can see under the journal, they made the lobes bigger than the journals. I was trying to put the cam in and wondering why it wouldn't fit lol.

                                That's bad

Just check with the engine shop, they will be able to point you in the right direction
But a half grand, that's nothing.
