Well James its been a while since i read this thread and i must say it is looking good and comming along
What headers did you go with? I see that they are long tubes and for a LS1 but i never heard what brand.
The Upper rad hose i think you said was off of a stock 4th gen?
Where and what kind are the motor mounts? And do they bolt right up?
How did the headers go in with the steering shaft did you have to remove it?
I might be doing this swap sooner then i thought. So i figured You would be a great person to referance.

I used Hawks long tube conversion headers. They are actually made by Stainless Works.Originally posted by MyBadZ28Well James its been a while since i read this thread and i must say it is looking good and comming along

Yes...the upper rad hose is a stock 4th gen hose minus P/S cooler.
The headers go in like butter! Just remove the coil packs and they slip right in from the top. It's really nice how well they fit. I was pleasently suprised.
So...did you pick up a 3rd gen?sigpicTurbo Charged LS1/T56

hey James, this is Pat
its great to see that your went with a ls1, you wont be dissapointed. The car looks awesome, very very nice install...
that 4 inch sewage pipe looks good under your car
i know i miss my camaro everyday, thought about building another one very soon. For future reference, 6.0 truck manifolds work great in 3rd gens for twin turbos!!!!
Great job on the car, cant wait to see it this year, keep up the good work.

Update.....the car is ready to fire up! I finished swapping over the tune and deleting all the stuff I won't need. I flushed out the fuel lines and hooked up the remaining few items. I put a fuel pressure gauge on the rail and turned the ignition on to see what kind of fuel pressure I had. Uh oh! Turns the the regulator I bought only came with the low pressure spring...it was supposed to have a high pressure spring too. So I can only build 30psi fuel pressure. DAMNIT! Held up by a fricken $2.00 spring! I contacted Aeromotive about getting a new spring but haven't heard back from them yet. So tonight i played around with some different springs I had from old R/C car shocks believe it or not
I found one that gets me close. Might try and fire it up on that one just to hear it make some noise.

Was able to hook up to the PCM with HPTuners lastnight and check things out. I read the entire PCM into the laptop and am now working on swapping it over to a stock M6 calibration. I must say, I am impressed so far with HPT.
