Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
also, if you decide to do the ground affects to the car, it would probably be easier to do so by swapping out the front bumper cover with one that has the ground affects already.. if you end up swapping the whole bumper cover.. lemme know.. I will buy your old one off you.
If I can find a number cover with the ground affects already, that will be the route I go
You wouldn't think, maybe change tranny mounts? That's about it right.. no need to hook up the clutch pedal or anything to do with a manual... Since I'm going to run auto..
well if you buy the 350/350 car it should have the proper mount in it id hope unless they welded it to the frame, if you can locate one an early 82-83 car with the oddball trans(forget whihc it actually is) but it shares the same length and mounting as a 350 but best of luck finding one, otherwise aftermarket or modify the current one to fit
can I take a 350 carborated and a 350 turbo out of an 83 firebird and put it in my car with little to change? I've been doing a lot of digging on this project and getting a lot of different awnsers. I'm not up to date on all the ls1 lingo, this is my first camaro. So what ecatly would I need to change in order to get that motor and tranny in my car with little problems.. no computer on the car so I just knocked that out of the ball park. What will I need to change for the tranny. Keep in mind I'm switching from manual to auto.. cheaper and easier swap
placement of the engine mounts on the k member, need to be moved forward, when you do that the brake line needs to be moved to the rear of the k member. trans X-member you'll need one for an auto car. Car will sit lower too cause of v6 weighting less then v8, you can buy v8 or v8 replacement stock springs or go with an eibach sport kit and be done with it. Other then, wires for all your gauges and running ground to the black and hot to the starter. Youll also need an auto shifter too.
'91 Camaro Modded, LSx, House of Kolor Intense White, lowered, GS chrome 18" wheels, 14" Brembo CTS-V on all 4 corners, LS rear end, FP suspension components
