Personally, I'd just get KDWs all the way around. The KDW is definitely a tire made for turns, so why not have four!

That's pretty much my tire of choice when I get rimmmzzzz. $180 a tire for me

      that still seems high! 225 40s 18s?

      • I'm leaning towards running a 255 35 18.

A buddy had tires that size on his SS/TC (stock rims) with Eibach Sportlines, no rubbing.

        225 40 18s are about $150ish.

That a stupid idea running a 255 35 18s on a 7.5 in rim. Tell him to buy some 8.5" wheels.

          • They looked fine to me. He doesn't have that anymore.

But I'll have an 8" rim, so I should be fine. And a tire that wide will look killer and grip like a mofo!

Its not the looks... from a safety aspect the tire manufacture gives you a rim width range that the tire should be mounted on safely.

Like everything else it ss trade off. A wide tire will look and grip but a narrrow tire on a wide rim will handle better.

              • Yeah, didn't notice that before.

                **** it. I'll save $100 going with 225s.

                • Picking these 295/35/18s Goodyear Eagle F1s up next weekend from Nick (94PurpleZ28) for the rear... still need some 275/35/18s for the front

I'm giving craigslist/mifbody/ls1tech a few more days, then I'll order something from tire rack. I can't seem to find tires that match these though. There are like 5 different F1s and these are "spectras"?

EDIT: Found them... they're "F1 supercars"

these work? Im gonna talk to my buddy at the dealership he says he can get a deal on these because they come stock on the corvettes so ill ask.

Willing to look at other tires/widths, but trying to hang at 26.1" overall diameter or slightly smaller

                          • Seems like someone was selling c6 wheels on motown. Also might want to get a hold of Joe since he seems to be able to get takeoffs

                            Edit: Worth a pm
