LSX swap questions

I swapped out my v6 auto for an ls1 M6 and if I had to do it again I would. The reason I didn't sell my car to buy an LS1 car is because I was emotionally attached to the car and plan on never selling it, and also I would lose over half for what I paid for it. The key is to by a wrecked donor car, that's what I did, and for me it went really easy I got it all done in a week and a half and if I didn't tell you I swapped it you would have never known. I spent 3 yrs saving up money and searching and I found a nicely wrecked Camaro in Maryland for an amazing price that I couldn't believe!!

I just thought of this guy in Missouri, he had a 2000 wrecked camaro for sale, it was in a roll over and he wanted $3000 for it, the whole power train is there and all of the wires, the only reason I didn't buy is because I want the six speed. Here is his number, 417-684-7012 I believe it had 70k miles on it but I could be mistaken.

i have an idea in my head and was wondering if i ever came across some money that it might be possible.

This adventureous 17 year old young man has almost been convinced to sell his 94 LT1 car to embark on a $8,000 outing in hopes of gaining 30 horsepower from an LS1.

And the "newer" car has over 100k miles!
Most of them were probably easy driven miles though.

The seller did mention sellling the car for "financial reasons"...that's code for BROKE and can't afford the car or the repairs.

Run the other way...fast!

How about some mods for his LT1 as suggested earlier.
Maybe the other $7,000 could go towards college .

I just put down a deposit for an LS1 from John Dere and all the other stuff too. For me to do the swap is a no brainer because I already need a transmission. A new "built" trans is in the nieghborhood of 2500$. Plus I "wanted" a completly new exhaust setup. That puts me at 3750. My experience with my LE2 is not all that pleasent. Great hp but, I was shocked when I lost my gas millage. I got 16mpg on an all highway trip. Normally I get around 12MPG. Even with the foot out of the excelerator. I wanted a fast daily driver. Long story short, you got your goals, you got the cash, make it happen. Oh, and by the way, if any body wants my complete LE2 set up, it will e availible in late august.......
