Speaking from experience in this field. I say buy a wrecked LS1 donor car and swap over ALL of the electronics and do away with ALL of the electronics from your. That way there is no hassles with messing with the wiring and everything talks to each other how it should. Also you wouldn't have to worry about DBW with the Donor car because it didn't have it and as far as for the LS7 do what I did get a 90mm cable driven throttle body.

I'm curious why you want to swap out lt1 to ls1 and go through the problems. Why not build what you have, you can get what ever HP you want or can afford.

Speaking from experience, just buy an ls car and go from there. Youd need engine, trans, k member and a billion other things. Sure its unique or whatever, but IMHO its not worth it, highly doubt id do it again.

Thats what they published, 17" rims ram air and heavier suspention but I think there were more engine mods, because they jumped HP rating from 275 to 305. I don't see ram air giving you 30 HP. I'm thinking hot cam with it.

i think the cam is the same....i used to have a link that had all the different cam specs for the lt1's, it changed over the years, but not for trim levels. i bet the rest came from tuning too.

Internally the engines were the same, 90% they got a different exhaust. Could be where they picking up the extra ponies.

If you can sell your car and get what you want thats the way to go. Its alot of work and I still dont have all of the bugs worked out, and Im fairly certain brian doesnt 100% yet either, but I could be wrong.

Yup, a mini ls1 in all reality, its an ls based motor, externally the blocks are the same. Its basically a 5.3 longblock with an ls1 everything else.
