Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Yup, know exactly where that is. My mom and I worked at the building that's right along I-75 across from the cemetary on the north side of Long Lake Rd. DeLorean is buried at that cemetary.
ok!
so i just got the rest of my money for this rebuild, i have $1300 for this rebuild all to be spent in the motor, i know its not much but it will get it back on the road. plus i already have a lot of things, 1.6 roller rockers, valve springs, valves, retainers, etc. and the top end is pretty much all new & rebuilt. im going to buy the speed pro LT1 rebuild kit out of summit for $600 and that includes: 10.4:1 forged pistons w/ rings all my clevite bearings every seal / gasket for the motor, and a new oil pump + freeze plugs. i also get my machining done for VERY cheap because i used to work there..
so with the $700 left over .. what should i buy? most importantly? i just want to make sure im getting the most bang for my buck with this project

Well, first off, I would pm creight/cs3 automotive on here about all parts that you are buying. He can get A LOT of stuff, and usually cheaper than anywhere else. With that extra 700 if I were you I would look at suspension.

Pace Setter LT's & Y-pipe with ceramic coating is 600 by it's self so ya you have used your 700.
If you are going pull the trany & motor out the bottom is best.
Other wise I like to go through the top when I do it.
Good luck with your build

i've never pulled a motor from the bottom but i want to just try it, and everywhere i look says its much easier.
the pacesetter lt's im getting are $285 ( non-coated ) that im wrapping & the y-pipe is like.. $115? im pretty sure, and i have the rest of the exhaust taken care of.

I would look around for used parts, i got my Hooker coated longtubes and a jet hot y pipe for $300 barely used. that gives you $400 to put into other stuff.
