      ok thank you it is a 350. that also means on e of the engines i was told was a 305 when i bought it was actually a 350 because the head gaskets have the same size holes. well i have to send the engine in to performance automotive and have it hot tanked, bored, new plugs, there is a package deal they do i dont know for sure what all they do. if i have it bored to a 355 can i use the same pistons that came out of the engine if i put 355 rings on them.

        With the price of gas, guys are going to be looking for 2bbl intakes and carbs so don't just toss it aside. I bet you can make your $50 back just selling it.

          i was wrong it is a 1 barrel carb it's the first 1 barrel i have ever seen. if anyone wants it make me an offer.

                Don't reuse the pistons...get a matched set of pistons and rings...and don't buy them until the machine shop can guarantee that it's a 355 when they get done with it...they may have to go to a larger bore...

                EDIT: And they haven't made a 1-barrel carb since the early 60s...I doubt (although I suppose it's theoretically possible) that a 1-barrel intake would fit a later GM block...
