There was a GP that was at Martin a year or two ago that ran 9's. He had it pretty much gutted and was not street driveable. It was neat to see and hear run, but not something I'd waste money on. If I was going to mess with swapping another V6, I'd build up an aftermarket Buick turbo 3.8. You can buy all the parts aftermarket and have a killer setup that's actually streetable.

I know a guy that did that in a red RS convertable, guys name was derek. He was beating on terminators with it, so i imagine it ran pretty good!

I don't disagree with you on the Duramax or Cummings making nice power with a tune and some bolt ons but after 4 years at Vehicle Accessories I can tell you the 6.0 Powerstroke pics up the most power from a programmer, CAI, and catback. It goes from being head to head with that Dmax to walking it off the line and by 60mph is about 2 1/2 trucks ahead.

doesnt surprise me because ford's engine management seems to always have been done by someone who drops his linen when he pees.... in your terms

Ya you could get those superchargers to fit, You just need to add the elbow at the end of the blower, I was wanting to do that at one time, I will as soon as i run across a M-90 BLOWER...

You're thinking of the turbo Camaro. He has a grand national motor in his, all chromed out. It's a red Camaro convertible, 93-97 body style. Owner's name is Derek, real nice guy.

the gtp motor can be done in a fbody. Takes quite a bit of fabrication and is not a simple swap by any means. Tight squeeze that takes moving and modifying various things to work. You are better off using a procharger or powerdyne and get the same numbers. A lot easier to add as well.

Sweet, his car is literately one off, but why not go with the GXP/SS 5.3?

If only I could have shaved 5 seconds off my Cavalier to get it into the 9 sec area. Maybe some day. lol

you guys are nuts. although that would be kinda neat/intriguing to see somebody else do that to their own cav. Don't they use the new body for the shells in Prostreet drags last year?
